CYBER

Israel is a unique territory for international cyber insurers due to the nature of its business environment, various regulatory aspects, language and culture differences.

From our experience in handling cyber events in Israel on behalf of cyber insurers, we are conscious of the special needs to handle these events on a professional and cost effective basis.

Therefore, our Firm established a Special Cyber Team, which specializes in various aspects of handling cyber events.

The Cyber Team is dedicated to manage all aspects of such cyber events, which are relevant to the Israeli market, in the most professional manner, efficiently, promptly and effectively.

The Cyber Team handles, inter alia, the following types of cyber events:

√  Cyber ransom attacks
√  Privacy breach events
√  Denial of access attacks
√  Hacker attacks / Cyber Terrorism
√  Cyber events at publically traded companies

Our team provides immediate response

during this critical period, which includes, inter alia, identifying the relevant experts, with whom we have proven experience, attending to the unique circumstances of the event, and managing all aspects of the event in the most cost effective and efficient manner.

During the first 48 hours period, our services include issuing a report to Insurers with the preliminary findings, analysis of the exposure, preliminary legal analysis of Israeli law and recommendations for additional steps: legal, IT and other relevant aspects.

Following the first response period, if the event has not been concluded, further steps will be discussed and provided in accordance with the findings and Insurers’ instructions, including policy coverage analysis, where required.

Our Firm has developed contacts with a chain of experts

in the relevant fields, including leading IT experts, regulatory, privacy law and internet experts, loss adjusters, PR consultants and other relevant professionals who work with our Firm and are available to handle cyber events and crises of various types.

We have found that, for international insurers, having a local point of contact to manage the various aspects of a cyber event, achieve cooperation with the insured and the experts on site is a major factor for the successful conclusion of an event in the most favorable manner.

This is especially significant in view of unique local characteristics, including security sensitive issues, capital market regulations and other regulatory requirements.
